US announces $327m humanitarian aid package for Afghanistan

WASHINGTON:

The America is providing a further $327 million in humanitarian aid for Asian country, Secretary of State Antony Blinken aforesaid on Friday.

"This help from the us can still support the scaled-up humanitarian response in Asian country and neighboring countries through international humanitarian organizations, together with the international organisation Population Fund, international organisation for Migration, and alternative implementing partners within the region," he aforesaid in a very statement.

"Our commitment to the folks of Asian country is enduring. we offer help to folks in would like, no matter their gender, race, sexual orientation, incapacity standing, religion, or profession," he added.

The funding includes nearly $119 million from the Department of State’s Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration, and nearly $208 million in help from the America Agency for International Development’s Bureau for Humanitarian help, the highest diplomat aforesaid.

It will be accustomed give money aid, shelter, healthcare, and reintegration help for people either displaced internally in Asian country or those who fled the destroyed nation, per the State Department.

Total America funding for Asian country currently sits at $1.1 billion since the Taleban took over the country in August 2021.
